About the Author
Yun Xiao is Professor of Chinese Language and Linguistics at Bryant University. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics. Her research interests are second language acquisition and pedagogy, Chinese syntax and discourse analysis, and Chinese teacher education.
Faye Hui Xiao is Associate Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Kansas. Her special areas of interest include modern and contemporary Chinese literature, popular culture, film studies, and gender studies.
Jijun Yu is Associate Professor at China University of Geosciences in Wuhan, China. He obtained a B.A. in Chinese literature at Peking University and an M.A. in civil law at Wuhan University. He has been teaching Chinese as a second language to international students at CUG since 1992.
Ying Zhang is currently a lecturer of Chinese as a second language at China University of Geosciences. She has over twelve years of second/foreign language teaching experience at the college and grade-school level. She obtained her B.A. in language education at Central China Normal University and her M.A. at Wuhan University.
